Candle Care
Make your candles last longer, and increase your enjoyment of them, with these four easy tips.
1. Always trim candle wicks to ¼ to 3/8 inch in length before lighting or relighting. Use scissors or a wick trimmer to ensure the wick doesn’t smoke and your candle burns longer.
2. Keep candles away from drafts, like air conditioning or heating vents. Place on fireproof surfaces that can collect dripping wax.
3. To help candles burn more consistently, burn one hour for every inch in diameter; for example, burn a three-inch-thick candle for three hours. Wax will pool to the outer edges and prevent a centre crater from forming.
4. Be sure to blow or snuff out the flame. Never leave burning candles unattended or within reach of children and pets
